Engagements

Three ways to put this work on your plan

You do not have to hand over the whole product. Most engagements start as one clearly bounded piece of work, scoped in writing before anything begins.

Managed work package

A defined deliverable — one ECU module, one integration, one release — taken from specification to a documented handover. ByteSync owns the outcome and reports against an agreed plan, so your engineers stay on their own critical path.

You give: requirements, bench or hardware access, a technical contact. You get: working software, test evidence, documentation.

Capacity on your team

Your process, your tools, your branch. ByteSync joins as the engineer you have not been able to hire — module work, integration, bug burn-down or verification — without adding headcount or management overhead.

You give: toolchain access and direction. You get: committed time inside your existing process.

Specialist review & rescue

Integration that will not link, MISRA C or A-SPICE gaps, a configuration or memory-layout problem your team has been circling for weeks. A short, fixed diagnostic engagement with findings you can act on either way.

You give: the code, config and the failing symptom. You get: a written diagnosis and next steps.

Capabilities

What you can hand over

Six capabilities, each one traceable to work delivered on a customer programme. Nothing here is offered on the strength of a tool we have only read about.

AUTOSAR Integration & Configuration

BSW, MCAL and RTE configuration that produces a stack your team can integrate and release — including the compile and memory-layout problems that stall most integrations.

Proven on Bosch LKA and FPT DIDI.

Embedded Firmware Development

Firmware at the hardware boundary: CAN, LIN, ADC, iAP2, Bluetooth and Z-wave protocol work, written to MISRA C and debugged on target rather than on a desk.

Proven on Toyota 19CY-DCM and Zinno devices.

Automotive Diagnostics & Telematics

Getting vehicle data off the ECU: CAN capture, DTC logging, multi-frame responses and transmission to a remote server, inside a tight CPU budget.

Proven on Toyota 19CY-DCM: −20% response time.

Integration & Verification

PVER integration and configuration, basic function test, requirement documentation and A-SPICE-aligned test planning — the evidence your release gate needs.

Proven on Sharework HDI and Bosch LKA.

Delivery & Release Management

Turning a requirement into a plan you can hold us to: work breakdown, estimation, bug triage, fix allocation and coordination across distributed engineering and QA.

Proven on Sharework, FPT and Samsung ESS.

Platform & DevOps Engineering

Standing up the tooling behind a product team: containerised services, subdomain routing with SSL, monitoring, and automated backup, recovery and failover.

Proven on ByteSync — this site runs on it.

Architected and implemented CarPlay integration on an AUTOSAR-based head unit: the middleware communication layer, audio routing, screen management, iAP2 protocol and out-of-band Bluetooth communication.
Outcome
Multi-client audio and display conflicts resolved within one arbitration layer.
CarPlay iAP2 middleware Bluetooth OOB
Automotive 2019–2022

Resource Management System

FPT Software · head unit platform

What you needed
Several clients requested the same audio and display resources at once, with no single authority for ownership and release, so conflicts were resolved ad hoc.
What we delivered
Designed and implemented the platform resource management layer: complex audio routing scenarios, screen resource allocation, Bluetooth communication, and a state machine governing concurrent client requests and conflicts.
Outcome
Ad-hoc arbitration replaced with one managed, testable layer.
state machine audio routing screen allocation
IoT 2017–2019

Smart Home Security Hub

Zinno INC

What you needed
Cameras and sensors of different types had to be monitored from one place, with data reaching the cloud without gaps or dropped status.
What we delivered
Built the central hub for camera data capture and server forwarding: image capture, sensor data and status monitoring, plus the forwarding system handling many concurrent device connections.
Outcome
99.9% uptime maintained across concurrent devices.
IP camera sensor aggregation cloud sync
IoT 2017–2019

Z-wave Smart Sensors Network

Zinno INC

What you needed
Battery-powered door and motion sensors had to stay responsive for years on a coin cell, over a radio link that occasionally drops messages.
What we delivered
Architected the Z-wave sensor network and door-sensor data capture, established Z-wave communication with the hub, implemented database storage for status and sensor data, and optimised wakeup and sleep cycles for power.
Outcome
2-year battery life achieved on battery-powered nodes.

What you needed
Development tooling, storage and documentation were scattered across third-party services, with no single place to control access, data or cost.
What we delivered
Designed and operate a self-hosted platform: GitLab for version control and CI/CD, terminal access for remote development, a monitoring dashboard, NAS storage, a Kanban board and a knowledge wiki. Subdomain routing with SSL, containerised services in Docker, and automated backup, recovery, load balancing and failover.
Outcome
Third-party services replaced with one controlled, backed-up platform.
Docker GitLab CI/CD reverse proxy SSL backups
How we work

What actually happens when you engage us

The questions that decide whether outsourcing works are rarely technical. Here is the whole process, so there are no surprises after you sign.

  1. 1 · Scope

    first call, no cost
    • A short technical call to understand the problem and whether we are the right fit.
    • You get a written statement of work: deliverable, acceptance criteria, milestones, assumptions and what we need from you.
    • Nothing starts until that document is agreed by both sides.
  2. 2 · Deliver

    against milestones
    • Work happens in your repository or ours, your choice, with access arranged up front.
    • Progress reported against the agreed milestones, with risks raised early rather than at the deadline.
    • You see the work as it happens — no black box, no surprise demo at the end.
  3. 3 · Hand over

    documented
    • Source, build and flash instructions, test evidence and the requirement documentation the work was built against.
    • A walkthrough with your engineers so they can own it without us.
    • Optional support window after handover for questions and fixes.
The practical terms

Asked before signing, answered up front

These are the terms buyers ask about first. Getting them wrong is what makes outsourcing painful, so they are stated here rather than saved for a negotiation.

One accountable engineer

You deal with the person doing the work. No account managers, no offshore relay, no work quietly handed to someone you never met.

Your IP stays yours

Work produced under an engagement belongs to you. Existing background IP stays with its owner, and it is named in the statement of work.

NDA on request

Mutual NDA signed before either side shares technical detail. Customer names and project specifics stay off this page if you would rather they did.

Overlap across time zones

Based in Ho Chi Minh (UTC+7) and used to working with teams in Europe, Japan and Korea. A daily overlap window is agreed at kick-off so questions do not wait a day.

Confidential benchmarking

Rates depend on scope, sector and duration. Send the outline and you get a written figure with the scope it applies to — not a range that doubles later.

Background

The engineer you would actually be working with

ByteSync is principal-led: the person who scopes your work is the person who does it. That is deliberate. It means the technical judgement you relied on at the scoping call is the same judgement applied to your code.

The background is automotive software since 2017 — ADAS at Bosch, then head units, telematics and CarPlay at FPT Software — preceded by a year and a half of home automation and IoT work on camera hubs and battery-constrained Z-wave networks. Alongside that, current product management work at Samsung Electronics HCMC on signage display products keeps one foot on the customer side of shipping software.

Practically, that means we can join at whatever layer you need: configuring an AUTOSAR stack, writing firmware at the hardware boundary, chasing a diagnostic through logs and configuration, or taking a requirement and turning it into a plan you can hold us to.

Evidence over opinion

Problems are narrowed from the log, the config and the code, then defined with a scope that points at the actual cause.

Delivery included

Delivered work comes with the documentation your team needs to take it over — including the test plans and requirements it was built against.

Programmes

Where this experience was built

Nine years on customer programmes across automotive, IoT and platform engineering. Employers and client programmes rather than testimonials — you can verify every one.
